At the century-old Gostilna Mihelič restaurant in Ribnica, excellent mushroom and fish dishes, game (bear, venison, wild boar), bread dumplings, cottage cheese štruklji, homemade svaljki, aromatic čemaž dumplings, buckwheat štruklji with cottage cheese, and various poticas are prepared year round, and homemade pork and sausages are a winter specialty. Naturally, excellent open and bottled Slovene wines are served as a perfect accompaniment to such delicacies.
